Michelin-Starred Korean-Inspired Tasting Journey at Sollip

At Sollip, the Michelin-starred sanctuary created by husband-and-wife team Woongchul Park and Bomee Ki, a tasting menu unfolds with the same care once reserved for cooking over pine needles in traditional Korean kitchens. Named for sollip—the pine needle historically used to control flame and smoke—this experience is a meditation on precision, restraint, and quiet intensity. Stepping into the pastel-hued, intimate dining room just south of London Bridge, the city’s noise dissolves, replaced by a sense of calm that mirrors the philosophy on the plate. 

The Korean tasting menu is deeply personal. While Sollip is often described as Korean, the experience resists easy categorisation, instead weaving Korean techniques and ingredients into a refined, French-leaning structure shaped by the couple’s training in Europe’s top kitchens and their life in London. Seasonal, local produce forms the backbone of an eight-course dinner, where subtle fermentation, delicate broths, and quietly assertive flavours reveal their Korean roots without ever overwhelming the composition.

The menu reflects an obsessive attention to detail and an insider’s understanding of sourcing rare and specialist ingredients.
