Some wines come with a great story. Château Gigognan has several.

Roman roots. A medieval priory. Connections to the popes of Avignon. And, centuries later, a new chapter as one of the Rhône’s organic wine estates.

Tonight, that story comes to the table at TOWN, Stevie Parle’s lively Covent Garden restaurant, where British produce, bold flavours and a distinctly London sense of fun come together in a room full of energy.

At the heart of the evening is Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the grape that gives the appellation so much of its character: Grenache. Across a flight of Château Gigognan wines, you’ll discover just how expressive the grape can be, moving from rich and powerful to surprisingly elegant and lifted.

Stevie Parle’s cooking is an essential part of the story. Each wine is paired with a dish designed to bring out something different in the glass, while the food draws on the exceptional British ingredients that define TOWN. The Rhône and Britain meet across the table, with the wine shaping the food and the food revealing another side of the wine.

Expect generous plates, serious bottles and plenty to talk about as we explore an estate with centuries of history through a distinctly modern dinner.
